Our big baby. She is two-ish, adopted, sweet, cuddly, and the cause of 98% of the dog hair tumbleweeds in our house. She wants nothing more from life than a safe place to rest and endless dogs to play with. Her brown eyes make me melt!

Back to my favorite subject: the dogs! I love this first one of Casey and Bella. So sweet.

Matilda the Bulldog is Famous!

Not sure if any of you remember this post where I talked about how a friend of mine submitted a picture of our bulldog, Matilda, to loldogs, which resulted in this picture being posted on their site:

Well, a few months ago, a representative from cheezburger.com contacted my friend about using the picture of Matilda for a new greeting card line they were starting up. She put them in contact with me and I gave them permission to use Matty's photo, although the final decisions were yet to made so I wasn't 100% certain that hers would be used. Cheezburger told me if we were selected, they would send me a free pack of greeting cards.

To my surprise, when I came home from vacation, I had a package from them! I was really way too excited over the whole thing, but it was a great gift after returning home from our trip.

Matty's picture has been selected and will be shown on magnets, like these:

And she has her own birthday card! The front says: "make me." and the inside says: "don't do anything I wouldn't do HAPPY BIRTHDAY"

On the back, it says "Thx to: Matilda by Cribs and Babs". Babs is the friend who originally submitted the photo and Cribs is my nickname in certain internet circles :wink:.

So cool! The ironic thing is that Matty absolutely loves the water, we can't keep her out of it! If she tries to swim past where she can stand she will literally sink. Apparently bulldogs aren't made for swimming. But, with her life vest on, she will happily swim out farther.
