Chili

I have never made chili before because I am not a big bean person. It's a texture thing. But, this year I tried a version based on recommendations from a few friends. It turned out really yummy, although perhaps more stew like than chili like.

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
2 large cans stewed tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
1 small can sliced jalepenos, drained, plus a splash of the liquid
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 bay leaves
Worcestershire sauce, to taste
Chili powder, to taste
Cumin, to taste
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 can refried beans

Directions:
Brown the ground beef then place in crockpot. Cover with the rest of the ingredients except the refried beans. Cook on low for 6 hours. Add refried beans for the last 30 minute of cooking. Adjust spices to taste.

Serve with cheddar cheese and cornbread.
